KPN, together with Cradlepoint, supplies an internet-of-things solution to Videojet. This enables US industrial print service provider Videojet to help customers with printing, coding and marking 24/7. Cegeka Netherlands sees an increasing demand for iot solutions and announces to cooperate with engineering firm Inventeers in this field.
KPN IoT and Cradlepoint provide Videojet, provider in coding marking and printing solutions, with KPN IoT's m2m (machine to machine) connectivity and Cradlepoint's IBR200 4G/5G routers for wireless wan, combined with its network management solution NetCloud Manager. The plug-and-play solution allows Videojet to connect customers and remotely manage and monitor thousands of printers.
According to Videojet (part of US-based Danaher), industrial sectors often have Wi-Fi-unfriendly locations and restrictive security measures that hinder stable connectivity. Customers from these sectors therefore demand better connectivity to their production line. The company now expects the bundled solution of KPN IoT and Cradlepoint to break down the barriers and therefore gain more control over mobile connectivity. This will make managing thousands of printers remotely easier.
'This solution enables us to ensure 24/7 printing, coding and marking to our customers. This is crucial for industries where this is required such as food, construction, aerospace, automotive and pharmaceutical. Without the required product identifications, this can lead to shrinking costs or delays in massive projects,' explains Jean-Paul Cohen, commercial director Western Europe at Videojet.
