Amsterdam-based Cape Investment Partners (CIP) is entering Inepro, a provider of solutions for the ev (electric vehicle) charging infrastructure market. As part of the acquisition, fintech unit Kuario will be sold to XMDS, a payment software company based in Haarlem and also a CIP stake.
Inepro (85 people), founded in the Netherlands in 1990, develops and supplies high-quality smart metering solutions and rfid readers. The company, founded by Ritske Clewits, operates in seven countries worldwide. The Nieuw-Vennep-based company sees growth opportunities in the European ev charging infrastructure market. To support Inepro's management in the next steps, CIP will take a majority stake in the company.
To focus more on the EV market, the self-service vending machine payment solutions business, which falls under the Kuario label, will be spun off and sold to XMDS. This is a Spaarnestad-based company founded in 1998 that offers payment solutions under the name Ximedes. XMDS is also part of CIP's portfolio and previously bought fintech firms Vayapay, Ginger and Pecunda.
