Nine it companies received certification today for the Connected Transport applications they developed for the logistics sector. They are AddSecure, Aventeon, Data2Track, GPS-Buddy, Logi-App, MobiCoach, Pharox, Prometheus and Trimble. They are supported for supplying the real-time traffic data by Vialis and Yunex Traffic. The certificates were presented by Vincent Habers (Ministry of IenW) and Theo Stevens (SmartwayZ.nl) during the General Members' Meeting of Dalti, trade association for it-suppliers in logistics, at the ICT&Logistics trade fair in Jaarbeurs, Utrecht.
Thanks to the Connected Transport applications, truck drivers receive real-time information in their in-truck systems, and can better anticipate current traffic situations. This increases road safety and ensures more sustainable driving behaviour. The certification demonstrates that the supplied applications meet national requirements and agreed standards, allowing them to be rolled out widely.
