H&M Netherlands is replacing the plastic bag for online orders with paper. The new FSC-certified packaging has no coating and is therefore easy to recycle.

H&M calls the measure an important step in reducing plastic waste. The cardboard packaging takes up less space during transport, saving CO2.

A large number of products are still put in a plastic inner bag for safety and hygiene reasons. The fashion chain is still looking for a sustainable alternative.
