Project developer JPO (VolkerWessels) has purchased a 16,500-square-metre plot of land at business park De Blakt in the municipality of Venray for the development of a distribution centre. The environmental permit has already been granted and the transfer of the land took place last week.

"With this, we are also creating space for new entrepreneurship in North Limburg," explains Gard Stals, managing director JPO. "This will be a state-of-the-art distribution centre, where the design also paid a lot of attention to a pleasant working environment. For example, there is plenty of daylight in the business space for employees and there is plenty of greenery around the building."

Very Good

The single-tenant building - which will be certified with a BREEAM Very Good (BRL 2020) certificate - will feature an 'all-electric' heating system and the roof is prepared for the installation of solar panels. In addition to some 8,900 square metres of warehouse, the building will have a mezzanine floor of around 1,000 square metres, a three-storey office with 650 square metres of space and plenty of parking spaces on a lockable site.

Industrial estate De Blakt, which also houses Ceva Logistics, Flextronics, De Klok Logistics, Aviko, Sligro and Cordstrap, among others, is located in the heart of the logistics hotspot Venlo-Venray. It is easily accessible via the A73 motorway. Venray's railway station is only 600 metres from the distribution centre and there is an excellent inland shipping connection via the inland terminal Wanssum, located 7 kilometres away.

Co-production

The development of DC Oostrum is a co-production of VolkerWessels Logistics Development and JPO. Together, we offer logistics entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to flourish at this strategic location.

Lease

Leasing for this single tenant distribution centre has now started and is being handled by Cushman & Wakefield and JLL. More information on this project is available through the estate agents. The seller Van Rattingen Onroerend Goed en Materieel was advised by Peelrand Makelaardij and the buyer was legally assisted by Sight.
