With the addition of the BA line, Jungheinrich expands its basic forklift series. The range now has a total of three model lines: BA, BB and BC and offers trucks with lifting capacities from 1.3 to 3 tonnes. Here, the BA models stand out for their super-compact construction.

The new BA and the previously introduced BB and BC trucks are cost-effective entry-level trucks for everyday transport and stacking tasks. The trucks are designed for occasional use in single-shift operations and mainly intended for customers who do not want to do without the proven Jungheinrich quality even in the entry-level segment. The recent addition of the BA line completes the series with two extremely compact models.

Extra compact

With lifting capacities of 1.3 and 1.5 tonnes, the Jungheinrich EFG BA 113 and BA 115 offer everything for operation in tight spaces. Both trucks are 48V, front-wheel drive three-wheel forklifts with a very small turning circle and a width of just 990 mm. The super-compact BA 113 has a 375 Ah lead-acid battery on board, while the BA 115 carries up to 500 Ah under the hood. Three different mast types in numerous sizes and designs provide the right equipment for all standard applications up to 6,500 mm lift height. The mast and sideshift are hydraulically operated via mechanical control levers.

Powerful alternative

Those looking for a three-wheel forklift with just a little more power than the BA will find the BB 216k within the basic series. With a lifting capacity of 1.6 tonnes and a battery capacity of up to 625 Ah, it carries just a little more weight. Thanks to the short chassis (k), the truck remains compact and highly manoeuvrable.

Even more powerful are the four-wheel forklifts from the BC line. The five BC models have lifting capacities from 1.6 to 3 tonnes. Here, the BC 330 is a true all-round all-rounder with its battery capacity of up to 750 Ah and twin front wheels for extra stability.

Pure Ingredients successful first user basic series

One of the first users of the basic series is food producer Pure Ingredients with production sites in Venlo, Belfeld and Kaldenkirchen (D). Pure Ingredients has been producing halal snacks and meal components since 1993. First for the Dutch and German markets, but now also for several other European countries. The increased production requires more internal transport, which is why the company was looking for new pallet trucks and forklift trucks. The choice fell on Jungheinrich.

For less intensive tasks, Pure Ingredients considered buying a used forklift. Instead, Jungheinrich recommended the options of its new forklift basic series as an alternative. This turned out to be a hit. "The first BB 216k satisfies so well that we have now purchased a second one," explains fleet manager Peter Bastiaens. "The drivers are thickly satisfied and the quality is as we would expect from Jungheinrich: also very good."
