Jungheinrich has signed a strategic partnership with Chinese forklift supplier EP Equipment. By joining forces, the two companies hope to offer their global customers significant benefits in efficiency, productivity and sustainability in material handling. The first achievement is the new brand 'AntOn by Jungheinrich'.
Through their combined expertise, Jungheinrich and EP Equipment will put their focus on customer-oriented and innovative warehouse and forklift trucks. The cooperation should enable both parties to bring a more competitive product offering to the market. As a first step, EP Equipment will contribute to the expansion of the Jungheinrich portfolio with the new mid-tech brand 'AntOn by Jungheinrich'. This brand focuses on electric forklifts and warehouse trucks.
Expanding its portfolio
"We are excited about our new partnership with EP Equipment. This will bring significant benefits to our customers," stated Lars Brzoska, CEO of Jungheinrich. "The expansion of our portfolio is an important part of our strategy. With this, we want to strengthen our position in the growing mid-tech market. Together with EP, we can offer a full range of trucks - simply the right truck for every customer."
For EP Equipment, the partnership with Jungheinrich is another step in its mission to transform the industry from internal combustion engine forklifts to electrically powered trucks. "Together we can benefit from economies of scale in production. We learn from each other and strengthen our position as leading players in lithium-ion powered material handling," says John He, CEO of EP Equipment.
Big in lithium-ion
Both Jungheinrich and EP Equipment have emerged as leading suppliers of lithium-ion battery-based material handling equipment. By joining forces, the two companies hope to offer greater added value to all customers. At the same time, it opens the door to further strategic cooperation opportunities throughout the value chain. Both partners are determined to explore these opportunities together.
