Bever is partnering with Fietskoeriers.nl. The outdoor retailer thinks delivery by bicycle fits its brand proposition better.
Orders on Bever's webshop will be picked up by bicycle couriers from the warehouse in Pijnacker and taken to a hub in Rotterdam. There, it is sorted and delivered to the customer by bicycle. Parcels with a destination other than Rotterdam are taken by 'green gas' car to the sorting centre in Nieuwegein. From there, it goes to the hub in the city of delivery and is also delivered to the customer by bicycle.
Bever, which wants to enthuse consumers about the outdoors, sees bicycle delivery as a logical step. "It makes people healthier, happier and more aware of the world around them. I am therefore very happy that we now offer the possibility to choose the healthy 'outdoors' delivery option," states Mirjam Fondse, Manager Supply Chain at Bever.
