Bol.com no longer offers sales partners compensation for lost shipments. The change may be an extra incentive for fulfilment service Logistics via bol.com: partners who leave logistics to the giant will still be compensated for lost parcels.

"We understand that this change can be annoying for our partners, who in the past period could count on our free additional service," bol.com writes. "Unfortunately, with the strong growth in the number of selling partners on the bol.com platform, it is no longer possible to maintain the compensation in its current form."

The change will take effect from 1 November. Lost (outbound) shipments of partners, who take care of the shipment themselves, will no longer be compensated by bol.com from that day onwards. Sales partners must contact the relevant carrier themselves for possible compensation. Bol.com will set up a special contact point for this purpose. The old regulation still applies to returns.

Exception Logistics via bol.com

Since 2015, bol.com has also provided fulfilment for sales partners' orders, under the name Logistics via bol.com. Partners using this service are still eligible for compensation. Shipping via bol.com, a service that bol.com is launching soon, is also subject to the goodwill scheme.
