bpostgroup now owns 100 per cent of Active Ants shares. The Belgian postal company already held 75 per cent of the shares. This acquisition is part of the strategic partnership the two companies signed in 2018. The mission remains the same: to support the e-commerce activities of online shops by offering end-to-end solutions.
By offering innovative storage and order-picking solutions, Active Ants has taken a significant lead in the efficient processing of online orders. This end-to-end approach fits perfectly with bpostgroup's cross-border activities and is also fully complementary to the customised fulfilment services Radial offers.
The company, which saw the light of day in the Netherlands in 2010, is experiencing strong growth. Active Ants is currently present with five sites across four countries (the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK). In Belgium, the site in Willebroek was enlarged in April to meet the growing demand from webshops for logistics support. The company processes millions of parcels for webshops from various sectors.
New CEO
Jeroen Dekker and Jean Lahaye, former directors of Active Ants, are leaving the company but are securing the transition. Bram Blondé has been Active Ants' new CEO since 21 August.
