In this series of videos, the finalists of Logistics Manager of the Year introduce themselves to the industry. What role do they fulfil within their organisation? And what is their achievement in this election? Today: Maarten Bakhuizen, Senior Supply Chain Manager at ASML.
Maarten started his career at Ortec and then joined Heineken, where in his last position he managed eight distribution centres with 230 employees. Since 2017, Maarten has been working at ASML, a manufacturer of lithography machines. These (highly complex) machines are essential for making chips, used by manufacturers such as Samsung and Intel.
Final day 26 March
On 26 March, all candidates will take the stage during the knowledge and networking event in the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht. During their performance, they will have the chance to convince both the jury and the public of their qualities as logistics managers. The jury, led by jury chairman Sander de Leeuw, will ultimately decide who will become the Logistics Manager of the Year and take over from title holder Job Sonke.
