A turbulent world calls for an effective and agile supply chain. All aspects of creating such an ideal supply chain will be discussed in the Supply Chain Theatre during the ICT & Logistics trade fair. The event signals an increasing interest in both strategic and practical supply chain topics and is happy to provide the space to do so.

The connection between a clear strategy and its translation into an effective supply chain largely determines an organisation's success. Scientific research shows that organisations that score high on supply chain maturity achieve higher returns. Successful companies like Heineken and Zara not only have good products and a powerful marketing & sales force, they also owe their success to an excellent supply chain strategy. This enables them to operate more flexibly and leads to higher customer satisfaction, lower costs and better financial results. In times of increasing disruption, technological development and economic turbulence, this is more important than ever.

FOCUS ON VALUE CREATION

Supply chain management is about much more than the efficient design of logistics processes and is now also called 'the new business administration'. Value creation in particular is increasingly important: aligning the entire operation with the market and customer demand. This requires sharp strategic insight, clear segmentation and cooperation with chain partners. In addition, issues such as processes, IT and leadership play a major role. In the Supply Chain Theatre during ICT & Logistiek, all these topics are discussed. This is the third time ICT & Logistiek has hosted this theatre, which attracts increasing interest every year.

A supply chain is always in motion and never 'finished'. How do you translate a business strategy into a supply chain strategy? What does that mean for processes, IT and organisation, and how do you implement changes? What role do Sales & Operations Planning and Integrated Business Planning play in serving customers better? How can you improve collaboration between departments and with third parties? And finally, the key question: what does it deliver?

COMING SOON IN THIS THEATRE

Supply Chain Theatre answers all these questions. BLMC, Solventure and Supply Chain Media will offer three days of lectures and workshops on topics such as strategy, processes, planning, visibility and sustainability. A big first is the presentation of the Supply Chain Strategic ROI tool, which enables companies to calculate the return on investment of supply chain improvements in advance.

The sessions are free of charge and will be given by renowned speakers such as Prof Dr Jack van der Veen (Evofenedex, Chair of Supply Chain Management Nyenrode Business University), Prof Dr Bram Desmet (CEO Solventure Belgium and Professor Vlerick Business School), Michel van Buren MBA (Director BLMC Supply Chain Optimisation and Solventure Netherlands) and other specialised senior supply chain professionals. For executives and board level there are master classes in the afternoon. Individual consulting sessions are also available.
