Movu Robotics and Reesink Logistic Solutions have jointly automated two warehouses. The two projects for the Weinig Group in Germany and B&S in the Netherlands highlight the successful cooperation and demonstrate an innovative approach, including a first in the field of cold store logistics.
In Germany, the Weinig Group, known for its wood processing technologies, will benefit from a compact and high-performance automated storage and order picking system designed by Reesink Logistic Solutions. This advanced system streamlines the flow of parts, semi-finished and finished products, significantly improving efficiency and reducing manual handling using Movu's pallet shuttle system.
Innovation in cold store logistics
The B&S project in the Netherlands takes automation a step further with a unique concept for a goods-to-man solution for pallets in a cold store environment. Within this project, Movu's pallet shuttles and autonomous mobile robots were combined with a pallet transport system and order picking stations. Both the atlas shuttles and ifollow robots can operate at temperatures ranging from -25 to +40°C. The C&D solution illustrates how the innovative technologies of Reesink and Movu can be used to meet the stringent requirements of temperature-controlled storage.
