Utrecht-based delivery service Packaly has opened its platform to all retailers. They can have online orders delivered to customers within the hour via Packaly. The first retailer to work with the last-mile service is Decathlon.

Packaly wants to make on-demand delivery available to retailers in food and non-food, in the same way that Deliveroo and UberEeats do for restaurants. Shops can integrate Packaly into their online shop and offer it in the checkout process. The shop arranges for the products to be collected, after which the Packaly courier picks up the package and delivers it to the customer within an hour.

Packaly's platform went live at the end of 2019. It was soon followed by an initial collaboration between Decathlon and the startup. For now, it is a trial.

Meanwhile, work was underway to expand the platform; since today, Packaly is available to all retailers in cities where it operates. That is currently only in Utrecht. In the near future, the company plans to expand to more cities in the Netherlands.
