TLN has employed two lawyers from 1 September to assist members in legal issues.

TLN previously had a legal department, but not the capacity to take up issues from start to finish for its members. "By now supplementing this department with two of its own lawyers, TLN no longer has to reject certain requests for legal assistance - except in cases between members - in advance or hand over files to an external lawyer along the way," TLN said in a press release.

The trade association promises members specialised legal assistance at a competitive rate. The lawyers will not act for members' counterparties. "Furthermore, TLN lawyers within TLN can quickly and effectively use the specialist knowledge available. TLN lawyers also have early knowledge of upcoming developments thanks to TLN's good links with policymakers in The Hague and Brussels."
