XPO Logistics is moving into two new warehouses in Hoofddorp. The expansion near Schiphol should support the logistics service provider in further growth in the Netherlands.
XPO Logistics' Dutch operations are on the rise. The logistics provider was therefore looking for opportunities to expand in the Schiphol area within a short period of time.
The warehouses are located under the same roof and have a total area of 19,000 square metres. XPO Logistics has been renting the warehouses from real estate player SEGRO since the beginning of this month. The two parties have been working together for some time in other European locations and are now extending this cooperation to the Netherlands.
Bert van der Sterren, Financial Director XPO Logistics: "SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport offers us what we need at the moment, looking at size, location and flexibility in the use of the building. The commissioning of this new warehouse helps us to continue facilitating our customers' developments and capacity issues."
