Tomorrow, on Friday 8 May, vehicles with a maximum permissible total weight of more than 7.5 tonnes will not be allowed to drive through France.

As France celebrates Liberation Day on 8 May, these vehicles will be banned from driving all day. The ban will take effect as early as 10pm tonight and will last until 10pm the following day.

Drivers passing through Luxembourg will also be stopped there on 8 May. If their destination is France, they will be banned from driving in Luxembourg from 9.30pm on 7 May to 9.45pm on 8 May.
