Just one more day and Logistica 2015 will be over! Even on the last day of the exhibition, there is still plenty to do on the exhibition floor. The LogsitiekProfs theatre in hall 10 will host sessions on Lean, young talent in logistics, e-commerce and innovation. In the afternoon, the fair will end with a debate on insourcing versus outsourcing.

11:15 - 11:45: Getting started with Lean
Lean is more than tools and techniques. Above all, it is a philosophy. A journey that revolves around the people behind the processes. 'From thinking differently, to doing differently'

Hans Groen will give you an insight into how consultants look at your company during the lecture. What stands out? What does a consultant marvel at? Getting Started with Lean is about changing the behaviour of your people but especially of yourself, however difficult it may sometimes be. Do not implement tools but a way of thinking.

12:00 - 12:30: Attracting young talent
Is there now a shortage of young talent in logistics or is it not all that bad? If news reports are to be believed, major shortages are looming. Steven Gudde, Director Innovation and Development at Olympia, tells us how things really stand with young talent in logistics. He also tells us what the sector can do to become 'sexy' again for young people.

12:45 – 13:15: ‘Innovation: think big, start small’
Innovation is often seen as ‘daunting’, costly and, these days, mainly focused on entirely new technological developments. Robert van der Waal, Director of Logistics Operations at Samsung, takes a different view. In an interactive session, he’ll show how companies can very easily start innovating, particularly in logistics. He’ll offer a behind-the-scenes look at Samsung, whilst also answering questions such as: what percentage of the top 25 innovative companies owe their ranking to entirely new technology? And what exactly makes the other companies innovative?

13:30 - 14:00: Smart solutions for the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape

As a (r)etailer or manufacturer, how can you get your products to consumers? What service do consumers expect? How has this changed over the years? What are the consequences of the choices you make as a company? What logistical challenges are involved in choosing specific sales channels? These kinds of questions will be addressed during this interactive lecture by Jorg Megens, Business Innovator at Docdata.

Last Wednesday, Jorg Megens also gave a talk to a full LogisticsProfs theatre. If you want to be assured of a spot, you can register here.

14:30 - 15:30: DEBAT: insourcing versus outsourcing
Outsourcing of transport and warehousing has now become commonplace in logistics. Nevertheless, some companies choose the opposite route and decide to do logistics themselves again. So time for a good debate during Logistica on insourcing or outsourcing of logistics, led by journalist Marcel te Lindert.

Participants in this debate are Hans Groen, supply chain & performance management consultant, and Robert van der Waal, director logistics operations at Samsung Electronics. Groen is one of LogistiekProfs' knowledge pros and recently wrote a blog on outsourcing as supply chain strategy. Van der Waal made a name for himself with his contrarian solution to opt for insourcing in logistics.

Are you curious about the speakers' views or would you like to join the debate?

Please note: it starts at 14:30 and lasts until 15:30. Contrary to what is mentioned in the online programme, there is therefore no extra session at 15:00.
