Venlo is once again the most favourable location in Europe for logistics companies. This is evident from research by Prologis and EFT, held among 170 European users of distribution centres. Venlo scores mainly due to its proximity to customers and suppliers and thanks to the cooperative attitude of administrators.

There are also plenty of available labour in the region, plenty of land and plenty of existing warehouses. Property costs are relatively low and the area is also easily accessible.

Logistics hotspot
North Limburg is working hard to remain a logistics hotspot. SMART Logistics Centre Venlo, for instance, was once created to allow businesses to work closely with the government and knowledge institutions. The concept, which involves over 200 parties, focuses mainly on infrastructure, the labour market, education, innovation, acquisition, PR and branding.

3PL Summit and CSCO Forum also in Venlo
Venlo was also the European leader in 2013. Now that the city has regained the title, EFT has decided to organise its annual 3PL Summit and CSCO Forum in Venlo as well.
