Property developer Prologic completed another warehouse last week. In
Liège, Prologic opened a 55,000-square-metre distribution centre for
Skechers.
This is not the first time the two companies have worked together. “This warehouse forms part of the 100,000 square metres
that Prologis previously developed for Skechers,” Prologis states. “The
property forms part of Prologis Park Liège, which is situated directly on the A40, a
motorway near Liège. It is also close to the German border and just an hour’s
from Brussels.” The distribution centre is used for the European
distribution of the American footwear giant’s products.
Sophie
Houtmeyers, vice-president at Skechers: “We are delighted to
capacity to our European distribution network. This additional
warehouse is invaluable in facilitating our growth.” Bram Verhoeven,
country manager at Prologis Benelux, adds: “Our partnership with Skechers dates back to 2002, when we
began developing 25,000 square metres for them. In 2009, we expanded by
a further 25,000 square metres. And in 2015, we signed a lease for a further
55,000 square metres.”
