Real estate services provider Savills IM has bought three distribution centres from HVBM Vastgoed. With a total area of around a hundred thousand square metres, this would be the largest logistics portfolio deal of 2016.

It concerns two centres at business park Hazeldonk in Breda and at Columbusweg in Venlo. The distribution centres in Breda are leased to Zimmer Biomet and Lidl. The third building is about two-thirds let to Biesheuvel Techniek. The remainder is let to Janssen Distribution Services.

According to DTZ Zadelhoff, advisor to HVBM Vastgoed, the purchase shows that logistics real estate is on the rise. "This transaction shows that the Dutch logistics property market is very much in demand," said Frans van Toor, partner at DTZ Zaldehoff. "There are sharp investment returns to be had and the size of transactions is increasing."
