Goodman Netherlands is building 180,000 square metres of logistics property this year. The real estate group is placing new distribution centres at three strategic locations in the Netherlands.
The company announced this during property exhibition Provada. In the second part of this year, Goodman will start building the distribution centres, on business parks in Amsterdam, Oosterhout and Maarssen. "Although supply is limited, we are still finding good-quality locations that are attractive to customers who are often looking for locations near densely populated areas to offer their customers fast delivery and better service," said Lien Standaert, Country Manager of Goodman Netherlands.
Amsterdam, Oosterhout and Maarssen

In Amsterdam, Goodman is developing a new depot for DPD on the De Nieuwe Liede industrial estate, at the junction of the A9 and A200 motorways. Two more new distribution centres totalling 46,000 square metres, available for lease, will follow at this location.

In Oosterhout, Goodman has 12.5 hectares of land at its disposal. The site, renamed the Goodman Oosterhout Logistics Centre, will be redeveloped in phases, starting with a 70,000-square-metre state-of-the-art distribution centre.
On business park Lageweide in Maarssen, Goldman has bought a 3.5-hectare site. The current printing plant will be demolished and replaced by a new 25,000-square-metre distribution centre (image at top of article).
Demand for strategic locations
"We see strong demand for high-quality industrial space in strategic locations, as evidenced by our recent leases with Tegelgroep Nederland in Bemmel for a 21,000-square-metre logistics centre and the development for DPD Netherlands," concludes Standaert. "This gives us the confidence to start construction in these three locations."
