Vos Logistics is moving into a new distribution centre in Oss. The company will get an extra 25,000 square metres of storage space. This is badly needed, as the logistics service provider is experiencing growing demand for warehousing, order fulfilment and cross-dock facilities.

Construction of the new distribution centre started in mid-November. The building will be located at De Geer industrial estate in Oss, the place where the transport company has been operating for 75 years. De Geer is located near the junction of the A50 and A59 motorways and the inland shipping terminal in Oss.

Vos Logistics sees the new DC as an important foundation for its growth strategy in the Benelux. "With this expansion, we are responding to the increasing demand for warehousing, order fulfilment and cross-dock facilities," explains Ben Vos, CFO Vos Logistics. "The rapid development of e-commerce has particularly accelerated our specialisation in the field of home deliveries of outsized goods."

The distribution centre and associated office spaces will be built according to sustainability standard BREEAM Excellent. Solar panels, heat pumps, water infiltration and gas-free construction will be used.

Vos Logistics will occupy the building in September 2021.
