Results in magazine and at Cybersec Europe

Computable Netherlands and Belgium are once again investigating the state of security budgets in the Benelux. This survey took place for the first time last year, it will be followed up in 2023. In the Netherlands, the results of the survey will be presented in the magazine special on cybersecurity, in Belgium the results will be presented during the second day of the Cybersec Europe trade fair, which takes place on 19 and 20 April in the Brussels Expo. Participating in the survey is possible until Sunday 5 March 2023.

Following the 2022 survey, Computable received several requests to repeat the security budget survey. There are plenty of security surveys available in the market, but a thorough look at budget spending is lacking. Last year, the overall conclusion was that over 15 per cent of the Dutch ICT budget is spent on security. Benelux-wide, this percentage is almost seventeen percent.

Enigma Research conducts the survey on behalf of Computable. This year, the survey is slightly expanded compared to 2022. Again, issues such as ransomware, outsourcing and whether or not to deploy a soc are covered. But this year, in addition to country, it also segments by type of security and specific players who are in such a sub-segment. It also looks at the size of the organisation, how the number of security specialists compares to the total ICT department and what percentage of the ICT budget is spent on security.
