The logistics sector may be gaining an unexpected partner: Defence. With the creation of the Logistics Ecosystem, Defence wants to establish partnerships with commercial parties in transport and logistics. The goal? Strengthen each other with capacity, equipment and knowledge - and be able to scale up together in times of crisis.
Companies within the industry can participate through tenders that will be published soon. Partners for container and general cargo transport, ammunition transport, stowage, storage and transhipment, among others, are currently being particularly urged to apply. The initiative responds to a broader development: cooperation and flexibility are becoming increasingly important in logistics. By joining forces with the business community, defence aims not only to increase its own readiness, but also to contribute to a strong and resilient logistics network with attractive chain cooperation.
