Case examples: M&G Group, Postnl and Riho
SAP raises high expectations with the programme name Rise, as a prelude to effective migration of on-premises ERP software to the cloud. Namely of achieving a higher level of information delivery. So more cost-effective, agile and scalable. At a recent Rise promotional meeting at Amsterdam's Eye film museum, a number of real-life examples passed the review: M&G Group, Postnl and Riho.
Assen-based M&G Group, a manufacturer of flue gas extraction and ventilation systems, was one of the first Dutch companies to undergo a migration via Rise to the SAP Cloud in 2021. ITvisors (now Aiden) and Xperie helped the people from Drenthe move from the on-premises ECC-6 to SAP S/4Hana private cloud edition. The group operates with 600 employees in seven countries, including Belgium, France, Italy and Turkey. It opted to put the management of the it environment in one hand. A greenfield re-implementation was also an option, but the benefits of lower costs and faster execution tipped the balance of choice towards the Rise programme, which took effect within six months.
