Logistics service provider Bleckmann is building a large distribution centre near Ghent for a customer in e-commerce. Bleckmann does not want to mention a name, but states that it concerns a major international player.
Bleckmann, logistics service provider in fashion & lifestyle, already handles logistics for this customer. This is currently done at different locations. "This customer is growing so strongly that moving to new premises was necessary," a spokeswoman told Transportmedia.be.
The new building covers an area of 25,000 square metres. The site has room to double that area. It is still unclear whether Bleckmann will be working for multiple customers in the warehouse.
In October, Bleckmann expects to be operational at the new site. Then, the service provider will also announce which player is involved. Bleckmann currently has 29 distribution centres in Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. The company's customers include Michael Kors, Superdry, Abercrombie & Fitch.
