Due to the approaching Brexit, Broekman Logistics is opening the doors of its XXL distribution centre in Venlo earlier than planned. The logistics provider wants to create space in its warehouses at Rotterdam Maasvlakte, Europoort and Spijkenisse.

With the earlier opening, Broekman Logistics is accommodating customers who need extra storage space near the port of Rotterdam due to the Brexit. According to the company, customer requests of up to ten thousand pallets at the port can be met positively.

"Due to the early opening of our new Logistic Campus in Venlo, we have been able to move several customers ahead of schedule. This allows us to better serve our customers through the multimodal connection to the hinterland, as well as free up space for the current Brexit issues in the Port of Rotterdam," said Ron Kuijpers, Director Business Development at Broekman Logistics.

Broekman Logistics' distribution centre in Venlo covers an area of 64,000 square metres. The official opening is scheduled for 7 May.
