Crocs' largest European distribution centre will be located in Dordrecht. On Wednesday, Hercuton started construction of the building, which will have an area of 35,000 square metres.

The US shoe manufacturer will place the distribution centre at DistriPark Dordrecht, along the A16 motorway. The site will be used for e-fulfilment, as well as for stocking shops and returns handling.

The company already has a distribution centre in Rotterdam, but is at maximum capacity there. "These are exciting times for the Crocs brand," said Adrian Holloway, top executive at Crocs Europe. "The new building will allow us to improve our customer support and we are particularly proud to move within the same region in the Netherlands."

The distribution centre will employ 200 to 350 people. Completion is scheduled for spring 2021.
