Dachser is building a new warehouse in the Upper Franconia region, Germany. The logistics service provider thus expands its business in contract logistics.
The new warehouse in Upper Franconia provides space for around 39,000 pallets and has 47 loading and unloading docks. ''The new warehouse next to our current logistics centre will accommodate medium-sized customers from the DIY and garden construction sectors, among others,'' says Klaus Neubing, general manager of the Hof Logistics Centre.
The services offered by Dachser in Hof combine transport solutions and the storage of goods with value added services, such as order picking and packaging. After the expansion, Dachser in Hof will employ about five hundred people. In addition, around three hundred people will work at the logistics centre as seasonal workers or through transport companies.
The new warehouse is expected to be operational in autumn 2020.
