'The monster deal of the century' is being called the sale of thirteen hectares of land in Deventer. The municipality sold a plot on Bedrijvenpark A1 to a yet unknown company, which wants to put a mega distribution centre here. Proceeds for the municipality: 15 to 20 million euros.

It is the largest land transaction the Deventer municipality has concluded with a company in years, writes the Stentor. The licence application suggests a supermarket chain. It states that the distribution centre will cover six hectares. The new building will have more than eighty truck loading stations, a distribution hall, a freezer and cold store and office space.

The land on Bedrijvenpark A1 was already sold last year. The buyer does not want to publicise it until the building permit is irrevocable. The property will be located next to Sligro's distribution centre. The wholesaler has had its central distribution point for eastern and central Netherlands here since 2019.
