In the US, the first official drone delivery took place last week. That is, the first drone delivery approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
It involved a flight in Virginia, delivering 24 packages of medicines to a clinic. The drone came from Australian startup Flirtey. The flight took about 3 minutes, while transport by car would have taken as much as 90 minutes.
