FrieslandCampina in Veghel has moved into a new 26,000-square-metre distribution centre in Veghel. Willems Logistic Services will be responsible for all operational activities there.
From the new building in Veghel, mainly DFE Pharma products will be shipped to locations within and outside Europe. DFE Pharma is a joint venture of FrieslandCampina and investment fund CVC Strategic Opportunities. It produces excipients that are mixed with active ingredients in medicines.
The distribution centre is located close to FrieslandCampina's production sites and the Veghel container terminal. FrieslandCampina says the new location will enable it to store products more efficiently and sustainably in a conditioned environment. The building is fully electric and built in accordance with BREEAM 'Very Good', meaning that the DC receives three of the five sustainability stars of the label.
