Logistics property company Gazeley has started the construction of two warehouses in Zevenaar. The properties have a total area of 52,000 square metres.
The two warehouses cover 26,000 square metres each, with a free height of 12 metres, 50 overhead doors, 4 levellers and 141 parking spaces. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2020.
Businesspark 7Poort
The logistics sites are being built at Businesspark 7Poort in Zevenaar. An emerging logistics region, Gazeley said. "We see growing demand for space in this region stimulated by its excellent logistics hubs and proximity to key markets." By this, the company is referring to its proximity to the A12 and A15 motorways.
Sustainability
Both warehouses are being developed according to BREEAM Excellent certification. The project will be fully electric. Solar panels on the roof will provide much of the required energy.
