The largest distribution centre in
the Netherlands, owned by Koopman International, is being expanded by 40,000 m².
The DC, located on the De Munt industrial estate in Emmeloord, already covers an area of
200,000 m², is 35 metres high and employs 500 staff. It is unclear exactly how many
new jobs will be created exactly remains unclear.

Koopman operates as a trading company specialising in toys, garden products
and tools. The distribution centre has been based in Emmeloord since 1992. “We chose that location
because of its location alongside the motorway and the possibility of building high-rise structures.”
De Munt allows companies to build up to a height of 35 metres. This goes down
particularly well with logistics companies.
