A logistics operation that is smart, safe and sustainable. That’s what we all want. But is it achievable? And how do we get there? On 8, 9 and 10 November, the leading figures in the Dutch logistics sector will take the floor at the Koninklijke Jaarbeurs during Logistica Next and ICT & Logistics. During these trade fairs, industry leaders will share their vision and practical experiences, academics will present the latest research findings, and experts will explain the most recent innovations.

The Logistics Arena takes centre stage at the event. Here, the frontrunners in logistics will explain what they are already doing today to prepare their operations for the future. The programme features speakers such as Rowell Versleijen (Plus Retail), Frank de Bruin (bol.com), Youssef Zouhair (IKEA), Wouter Sluiter (Fonq), Michiel van Veen (Quooker), Roel Megens (Sligro), Eline Oudenbroek (Interface) and Willemijn Potier (The Seaweed Company).

New technologies
The Top Sector Logistics is organising a knowledge theatre session exploring the opportunities offered by new technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Other speakers will share their experiences from projects that make the entire supply chain more efficient by consolidating goods flows, choosing alternative transport modes and sharing real-time data.

At a time when staff are in short supply, good working conditions are more important than ever. In the ‘Healthy and Safe Warehouse’ theatre, experts from evofenedex and BMWT will explain how every company can make the work of warehouse staff safer, healthier and more enjoyable. Companies such as Beter Bed and Smurfit Kappa will share their practical experiences.

Agile supply chain
For anyone grappling with the major turbulence in the supply chain, the Supply Chain Theatre is a must. BLMC’s supply chain specialists provide guidance on creating an agile and resilient supply chain, interspersed with real-world stories from internationally leading companies such as Rituals and Boon Edam.

Is your current WMS no longer up to the job? Are you unsure about investing in blockchain? Are you struggling with the digital integration of your logistics chain? These and many other questions will be answered in the ICT & Logistics Knowledge Theatre. A diverse range of specialists from research institutes and industry organisations will set you on the right track.
