Battery technology is a major theme at Logistica, a major part of which is the lithium-ion battery. The developments of these batteries are going so fast that even the traditional lead-acid batteries cannot be left behind and are changing considerably. Time for a lecture on energy sources for lift and warehouse trucks.
Energy supply and storage is an essential part of the warehouse of the future. Dirk Schüler, Product Manager Energy & Drive Systems at Jungheinrich, supports the development and sales of new drive and energy technologies in the warehouse. His specialism is in the field of lithium-ion solutions and all processes related to them. During his lecture, Schüler will answer questions such as:
- Which energy technologies offer you the best solutions for now and/or the future?
- Where does the internal combustion engine stand?
- To what extent can conventional lead-acid batteries continue to develop?
- Where are the limits of fuel cells?
- When should you choose lithium- ion?
- What is involved in switching to a new battery technology?
