Montapacking is expanding its distribution space in Breda by approximately 13,000 square metres. To this end, the e-fulfilment specialist signed a ten-year agreement with landlord DHG.
Montapacking rented part of the property at the beginning of 2018. Within a year, it doubled that capacity to 12,000 square metres. From 1 January 2020, it will add another 13,418 square metres of distribution space and 640 square metres of office space.
The distribution centre at the Zoete Inval in Breda has a height of 12.70 metres and has 28 loading docks. DHG's premises are equipped with an updated ESFR sprinkler system and LED lighting.
Logistics spread
Montapacking now handles logistics for more than 650 web shops. The fast-growing company operates from several independent warehouses across the Netherlands. Last summer, it moved into a tenth distribution centre in Lelystad, with an area of 10,000 square metres.
Director Edwin van der Ham consciously chose to spread the logistics activities: "Both physical distances and the distance between the customer and the people doing the work in our organisation would then [in the case of one logistics location] become too big. By definition, a smaller unit has much greater commitment and enthusiasm."
