Neopost's CVP-500 packaging machine was voted the most innovative, logistics solution of 2015 during the first exhibition day of Logistica. In doing so, the company left Inther Logistics and RAVAS behind. The audience award was won by Inther with its Automated Document Applicator.

"This is great confirmation for an innovation that is being rolled out worldwide," responds Neopost. The CVP-500 packs fully automatically into a minimal box that saves volume, cardboard and padding material. Many carriers, especially in the US, have decided that shipping rates are calculated based on the volume of a parcel. The CVP-500 minimises that volume. "This is a fast product, with which large savings are conceivable. The disadvantage is that it is an expensive product, but you recover that on materials and personnel," jury chairman René de Koster said earlier about the product.

Audience Award
Inther Logistics was voted the audience favourite at the fair. The company competed with the innovation ADA: Automated Document Applicator. This is a solution for automatically applying the packing note and transport documents, on the outside of the parcel. For now, these documents are often sent with the package, but in many cases it is mandatory to have these documents visible on the outside. "Flabbergasted," Paul Hermsen of Inther managed to say in response.

Twelve nominees
A total of 12 parties competed for the Logistica Award. The entries were judged by the professional jury on application value, degree of innovation, economic importance, cost-effectiveness creativity, ICT use and Dutch input.
