Nunner Logistics is building a new 30,000-square-metre distribution centre in 's-Heerenberg, Gelderland. The logistics service provider now has fifteen distribution centres, at home and abroad.

The new premises will cater to new customers, focusing on the bicycle industry. Construction work has now started by construction companies Van Wanrooij and Van Schijndel, and Nunner expects to operate there in autumn 2021. "Or earlier if necessary. It could be there in seven months," general manager Erwin Cootjans told the Eindhovens Dagblad.

According to Cootjans, Nunner Logistics is experiencing strong growth, especially in sea freight and rail transport. Rail freight is currently on the rise because no cargo planes are going to and from China due to the corona virus. The branch in Switzerland, from where rail transport in Europe and Asia is organised, is therefore developing well.

Nunner has hired a new chief financial officer to manage its growth. Teun van Asten, formerly with RSM Netherlands, has been working as CFO at the Helmond headquarters since the beginning of February.
