Picnic will open another new distribution centre. Starting next year, the online supermarket will deliver groceries from a 30,000-square-metre fulfilment centre in Dordrecht.

Recently, Picnic already announced distribution centres in Zwolle and Ridderkerk. Now a location in Dordrecht will follow. From here, Picnic wants to supply groceries to more households in Brabant and South Holland.

The new distribution centre is located at the new business park DistriPark Dordrecht, right by the A16 motorway. It will employ about 300 to 500 people. "Soon we will start talking to future employees who are looking for a job with future prospects in a strong growing company with great growth opportunities," said Picnic co-founder Michiel Muller.

Picnic now delivers groceries to over 850,000 customers across 170 Dutch towns. Over six years ago, the web supermarket started in Amersfoort, and then steadily expanded to large and smaller towns in our country. Lansingerland, Pijnacker and Leeuwarden were recently added.
