Logistics property company Prologis is building a 10,000-square-metre distribution centre near Schiphol Airport. The property is being built speculatively and will be available to the market in the third quarter of 2019.

Today, the first pile of the building, named DC2B, was driven into the ground at the Prologis Fokker Logistics Park. This park currently has around 170,000 square metres of distribution space.

The building will have 16 docks and can be divided into two units. According to Prologis, the building is especially suitable for air cargo-related logistics activities. The real estate company is aiming for the BREAAM 'Very Good' certification during construction.
