Sligro is moving into a new distribution centre in Vianen. The move to Vianen is part of the redesign of the wholesaler's logistics network.
Sligro rents on Gaasperwaard industrial estate a building that was built years ago but had been vacant until now. The distribution centre, owned by Delin Property Asset Management, covers an area of 23,700 square metres, divided into 20,620 square metres of warehouse, 2,370 square metres of mezzanine and 750 square metres of office space.
Logistics network redesign
The hospitality wholesaler is currently optimising its national logistics network. Sligro is increasing capacity at existing locations and expanding with new branches. It will soon be moving into a new distribution centre in Maastricht and a location in Breda is planned for 2020. The Sligro outlet in Vianen will serve the Utrecht region, which accounts for around 200 jobs.
