Just a few months after opening its seventh distribution centre, Tom Omnichannel Management (TOM) from Bladel, Noord-Brabant, has already moved into a new DC. The online specialist is growing fast and wants to physically stock all the products it sells.
TOM operates 12 web shops, including internet-bikes.com and internet-homeandgarden.com. In the coming period, TOM plans to add another webshop. The company says it continues to sell more and is expanding its product range in the meantime, so a new space is badly needed. With the new distribution centre in Bladel, the online player will gain 3,000 square metres of storage space.
“We want to have all the products we sell through our sales channels to consumers and the business market
in physical stock,” says CEO Tom te Riele. “This means we never have to turn our customers away and we continue to deliver on our delivery promise. To
to stay true to that vision, opening an eighth distribution centre was absolutely essential.” TOM now has around 2 million products in stock across its own distribution centres.
