US courier company UPS has a billion-dollar takeover in planning. It wants to buy Coyote Logistics for around $1.8 billion, news agency Bloomberg writes following sources within the company.

No concrete deal has been struck yet, but the deal could be announced as late as July. The acquisition would be the third major logistics deal of 2015. Earlier this year, Dutch TNT was acquired by FedEx for a whopping €4.4 billion. XPO Logistics' acquisition of logistics service provider Norbert Dentressangle ranked number two at €3.5 billion.
