Transport company A. van Andel & Zonen is building a new distribution centre in Sliedrecht. A new office, dispatch and warehouse will be built on a 20,000-square-metre plot.
The company says it needs more space as demand for storage capacity continues to grow. The current logistics location in Hardinxveld-Giessendam no longer offered room for further growth after several expansions.
Van Andel is expanding simultaneously with Rietveld Licht & Wonen, which is having a showroom built on the same plot along the A15 motorway. The transport company takes care of all logistics for Rietveld Licht & Wonen. The new building will further expand this cooperation.
Unibouw is handling the construction of the building. The distribution centre is scheduled for completion in mid-2020.
