VidaXL is building another mega distribution centre in Venlo. The floor area of the new building is as much as 141,000 square metres.
The online retailer of home, garden and sports items, among other things, already has two large distribution centres at business park Trade Port Noord in Venlo, of 80,000 and 100,000 square metres respectively. Due to the corona crisis, the web department store saw impetuous sales growth and further expansion is needed.
VidaXL expects to occupy the building by the end of this year. The building will be connected to one of the current DCs by a bridge. Parcels can be transported between the buildings via a conveyor belt.
A mega distribution centre is also planned in Poland. In Wrzesnia, a 138,000-square-metre building is being built and will be commissioned in the last quarter of this year. With this distribution centre, the online giant aims to shorten delivery times in Central and Eastern Europe.
