The Flemish Institute for Logistics (VIL) wants to have more clarity on the application of drones in logistics. VIL will therefore examine the possibilities of delivery drones together with a number of companies. This will look at current technology, existing applications and the stock and transport activities that are possible.

First, the application possibilities of drones will be investigated, both outside and in the warehouse. In addition, practical tests will be carried out at two companies to investigate the technology needed to concretely deploy drones. This should also show what benefits drones offer the logistics sector. These results should be known by the end of next year.
