Westerman Multomodal Logistics is building a 37,500-square-metre distribution centre in Nieuwleusen. The expansion is needed due to the growth Westerman is currently experiencing in warehousing and assembly.
Westerman says the location will enable it to better serve new and existing customers. After the expansion, the logistics provider's total warehouse capacity will be 100,000 square metres, spread across locations in Nieuwleusen, Hasselt, Venlo, Malmö, Norrköping and Ahus.
In addition to a warehouse, the new building includes a 2,161-square-metre head office and is located at De Grift business park. Project developer DHG is in overall charge of construction and implementation is in the hands of Groothuis Bouwgroep from Genemuiden.
The new building is expected to be completed in July 2020.
