Online supermarket Telesuper is to automate its trip planning process. To do so, it is deploying Descartes Systems Group's Route Planner.
The cloud-based solution that Telesuper is deploying offers options for trip planning, track-and-trace, determining expected delivery times, mobile applications of proof-of-delivery information and communication between drivers and planners.
Telesuper, which supplies products to offices and healthcare and childcare organisations, was looking for a technology solution to automate its vehicle planning process to facilitate the company's rapid growth. "The Route Planner On-demand helps us in a more efficient planning process by taking into account our resources, business rules, customer requirements and geographical information," says Nimmoo Adam, IT manager at Telesuper. The mobile integration allows Telesuper to measure weekly performance against optimal routes. "This allows us to respond immediately to new orders and requests to better serve our customers."
